  1. File Searching
  2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  4. Ezycom offers some powerful file searching functions to help you locate the
  5. files you're after.  To activate the search routines, select the approptiate
  6. menu option.  Ezycom will give you a one line menu with the following
  7. options:
  8.  
  9.         (I) Filespec  : Specify a FileSpec to search for.  Each file area will
  10.                         be scanned for each occurence of this word in the
  11.                         file name.
  12.  
  13.                         For example, if you want to find any Ezycom related
  14.                         file you might set the filespec to EZY*.* (case doesn't
  15.                         matter).  Any file with EZY*.* in the name will be
  16.                         listed.
  17.  
  18.                         The default criteria is "*.*", which means display all
  19.                         files.
  20.  
  21.     (F) From Date : Specify a date to search from.  This is useful if you
  22.                         don't really care about old file.  The search date is
  23.                         entered as DDMMYY, with no seperators.
  24.  
  25.                         For example, to ignore any files older than the start
  26.                         of 1991, enter 010191 (ie, 1 January, 1991) as the
  27.                         start date.

  29.     (T) To Date   : Specify a date to seach to.  This is useful if you know
  30.                         a file you are looking for is an older one.  The date
  31.                         is entered in the same format as the from date, DDMMYY.

  33.                         For example, to list all the files uploaded in 1991,
  34.                         you could set the start date to 010191 and then end
  35.                         date to 311291.

  37.     (S) Start     : Begin the search with the specified options.  All the
  38.                         normal add to batch options are available.
  39.  
  40.     (Q) Quit      : Abort the search and return to the menu.
